This work is very strong and powerful. Tamra loves supporting this work because it just works. People use words like 'big shift', 'life-changing', 'mind-blown'. It is a beautiful thing to witness people letting go of long-held stories, or having deep profound realisations and awakenings.

Where does this come from?
The practice of 'shamanic breathwork' blends traditions from many ancient traditions, but most popularly native American Indian culture. Other cultures such as South American, Tibetan and Aboriginal are porported to have used breathwork along with drumming and chanting to access trance-like states for healing. It was informed in the West by transpersonal psychology and influenced by people like Stanislav Grof who trademarked the term HolotropicTM Breathwork. Holo (whole) Tropic (towards the light). It gained popularity as a way of accessing non-ordinary states of consciousness for deep emotional release after the research into substance-induced states was made illegal. Furthermore, shamanic breathwork is much safer and more predictable.

Why Choose Us?

Our original training in this modality was with a Canadian couple around 2019, and since I have done much private study in the many facets of what makes a good facilitator. Besides a good understanding of the technicalities of breathwork, there is the skill in creating a safe space and commitment to after-session follow-up. Having experience and training in Transpersonal Counselling, body work and energy work helps to move anything remaining that could get stuck, and unpack what arises in session.

We do group work usually in the Bell Tent in the middle of a stunning bluegum forest bordered by the Onkaparinga River, and red cliffs. This very special secluded place has a powerful healing vibe all on its own. Perhaps because of the water, maybe due to the high amount of quartz underground. Either way, this land and its spirits have always supported and held those wanting to heal.
